Puppy Madness: This class will help you to integrate your puppy into your family by laying the foundation for: housetraining, focusingthe puppy's attention, grooming and healthcare, sit, down, come, loose leash walking and sitting politely for petting. Rally Class I: In this class you will learn the basics of of the sport. A rally course includes 10 to 20 stations, depending on the level, that you and your dog will negotiate your way through. You will heel your dog in between the stations and then perform the task required at each station, such as a sit or a down. As you progress the tasks at the stations become more challenging. Prerequisites: Prior obedience class must be taken. Dog needs to understand basic commands such as sit, down, stay and heel. $110.00/six week classes - 8 students per class - Minimum of 3 students for classes to be held.

Rally Class II: In this class you will perfect your skills from the earlier session and move on to more challenging courses. This class will work on getting you ready to compete in Rally if that is your desire. Prerequisites: Prior obedience class must be taken. Foundation Agility Class: This class lays the groundwork for a positive agility career. Dogs and handlers will sharpen existing obedience skills as they relate to agility with an emphasis on focus and self-control. Beginning handling, channel weave poles, and introductory teeter skills are also covered in this class. Please bring the following things to class each night: a buckle collar, nylon leash, soft soled shoes, soft treats and the dogs favorite toys. $110.00/six week classes - 8 students per class

Beginning Obstacles 1: This class will build on the basic skills covered in Foundation Agility and introduce the rest of the obstacles. Basic handling and the rules of agility are also covered. Beginning Obstacles 2: This class is a continuation of Obstacles 1 and prepares students to move into sequencign. Upon completion of this class, dogs will have basic proficiency on all the obstacles. Please bring the following things to class each night: a buckle collar, nylon leash, soft soled shoes, soft treats and the dogs favorite toys.

Jan 12th at 8:30pm (Thursdays) - Main Agility Area Mar 8th at 8:30pm (Thursdays) - South Training Room Skills and Drills This class focuses on skills that need additional work or retraining on particular obstacle performance, such as contact zones (2 on 2 off, running), See Saw, weavepoles (entrances or speed through the poles) just to name a few. Dogs and handlers will also sharpen existing handling skills as they relate to agility by working short drills containing 3-4 obstacles. Examples of this would be the following: send to a jump, back side of jump, Rear Cross, Front cross, 180's, 270's and serpentines. Please bring the following things to class each night: a buckle collar, nylon leash, soft soled shoes, soft treats and the dogs favorite toys. $110.00/six week classes - 8 students per class

Obedience Core Skills This class is for anyone looking to compete in AKC rally, AKC regular obedience and/or agility competition. Skills to be addressed are Random Motivated Attention, all heeling behaviors including off-lead, fronts & finished, recalls, stay proficiency and doodle games relating to Rally. $90.00/six week classes - 5 to 16 students per class
Prerequisite: On leash control in the presence of other dogs.

Contacts and Weaves: This class is for anyone looking to really focus on their contact obstacle and weave pole obstacle performances. $90.00/six week classes - 5 to 10 students per class

Intermediate Agility This class is for students who would like to learn more about handling their dog through various types of agility sequences. Skills to be addressed include front and rear crosses, lateral moves, driving through the weave poles, weave pole entrances, and driving to the bottom of contacts. Students may bring in problems from trials where they have competed, and the class will work on them together. $90.00/six week classes - 5 to 10 students per class
Prerequisite: Dog should stay focused on handler and should not look to run at other dogs. A good knowledge of what to do at the contacts and a strong drive to try through the weave poles is highly desirable. Any dog having problems with those things should investigate MR’s Beginning and Advanced Beginning classes at her Platte County location.

Advanced Agility This class is for students who have acquired good sequencing skills and need to learn how to analyze a course and execute a running strategy. Dogs will be permitted to repeat incorrect sequences a few times, but the main focus of the class will be run the entire course. $90.00/six week classes - 5 to 8 students per class

Lori Michaels Class Descriptions - ** See Bio on the About Us page**
Competitive Handling 6:30 - 8:00pm The goal of this class is for students to break free of their “comfort zone” and learn new handling skills, master them in training and be able to apply them successfully in competition. We will work sequences and full courses to explore different handling options, proper execution of crosses and cues, setting the best lines while achieving maximum speed, and being “mentally fit” to conquer any course you face! Specific obstacle training will not be taught in class, however training for independence in handling will be discussed. $140.00/ six week class - 10 to 12 teams per class
Prerequisites: Currently competing in trials, proficiency on all obstacles, should be training towards independent weave poles with drive and solid contact criteria.

High-speed Handling 8:00pm-9:30pm
This class is designed for Excellent/Masters/Elite competitors with high-drive dogs who already possess advanced handling skills. We will focus solely on applying different handling techniques to challenging, international-style courses while maintaining speed, control and accuracy. $140.00/ six week class - 10 to 12 teams per class
Prerequisites: High-drive dogs who live for agility, Handlers who want to work with their dog’s speed and don’t want to slow them down just to qualify more. Prior attendance in this class or pre-approval by the instructor is required.

Nickie Hertzog - Conformation Classes
Puppy and Practice Class Recommended for young and/or dogs needing (additional) training. Multiple dogs per handler encouraged. Climate controlled building with matting. $10, per handler, per class.

Skill Enhancement Class Recommended for handlers to increase their skill level. Trained and multiple dogs encouraged. Trained dogs offered “for rent”. Future plans include occasional guest pro-handlers. Limited enrollment. $75.00 per six (6) week session.
