Amanda and Cassie with Gunnar and Roxy
K-9's in Motion Owners
Amanda started her agility career when she and her son, Spencer took an agility class with their boxer, Roxy.  Spencer went on to compete with Roxy and Amanda adopted an Australian Shepherd named Gunnar with whom she competed with for several years.  She credits all of her agility acheivements both in training and competing to him.  She is currently training/competing with her young Border Collie, Blitz.  They are currently competing in two different venues (AKC and USDAA).

She and Gunnar retired while working towards their NATCH and Versatility NATCH in NADAC.  They competed in the 2006 NADAC Championships in Gillette, WY
, where they placed in all the Regular Runs with one second place finish.  In addition, they earned a third place in the team event.  Amanda and Gunnar competed at the 2007 NADAC Championships.

Amanda and Gunnar competed in the USDAA venue and earned their PDIII titles.  She  and Gunnar competed in the 2008 Nationals in Scottsdale, AZ.  They placed 7th in the Performance National Standard Finals.

Amanda and Blitz have been competing in the USDAA and AKC venues.  Blitz has his Starter titles in USDAA and Novice titles in AKC.  They are traveling to Louisville, KY in Oct. 2010 to compete at the USDAA Nationals this year.

Amanda attended the Clean Run Instructor Training in August of 2007.

Cassie Schmidt and her Labradoodle, Roxy, were introduced to agility in December 2005.  Their first instructor was Amanda.  The team quickly became addicted to the thrills and challenges of agility.

Roxy was the 2009 USDAA South Central Regional 16” Performance Grand Prix Champion and the 2009 USDAA 16” Performance Speedjumping National Champion.

Cassie is grateful for the wonderful trainers in the Kansas City area who have helped her and Roxy progress in the sport of agility.  When they aren’t doing agility, Cassie and Roxy manage the family’s retail businesses in Higginsville and Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Prairie Village, Kansas.

My philosophy is to create a healthy balanced relationship between a dog and its owner by using positive training techniques.

I have been doing obedience training for 10 years.  I am grateful to all the great trainers in the Kansas City area that have helped me elevate my training skills.

I also teach Rally Obedience, a natural extension of basic obedience training.

In addition, I have taught basic agility course work.

I have owned a variety of dogs and at present have two:  Molly, a Cocker Spaniel and Reilly, a Yorkie.  Oh yes, I can't forget our yellow tabby cat Louie.  He will sit for a treat!
